What are exams, tests and assessments for? Sometimes is seems as if everywhere we look there’s some sort of external measure for each step forward we hope to take.
GCSEs, A levels, degrees, NVQs, annual appraisals, the driving test, what do they have in common?
They are a way of measuring what we know at a particular time.
Think of the first formal test you took, would you score higher or lower if you took that same test today? What would affect that score today?
As I looked out of the window at the rain I was reminded of the words of the great philosopher Billy Connolly “There’s no such thing as bad weather, just the wrong clothing, so get yourself a sexy raincoat and live a little”.
As usual he’s right. Weather can’t be bad or good it can only be weather but our attitude to it can be good or bad.
Can you imagine waking up one morning feeling warm, relaxed and refreshed?
You had good dreams.. the new day has infinite possibilities… you open the curtains and see the rain.
If you know Matt Hudson like we know Matt then you’ll know he loves nothing more than a good chin wag and catch up with anyone who crosses his path. For this reason we’ve kidnapped Matt and locked him in the highest room in the tallest tower of MITA Manor with his trusty laptop, a head full of ideas and also Sonya said we’d have to give him water!
Matt’s been working on his latest book and we’ve managed to sneak a preview exclusively for you. The working title of the book is ‘The Unconscious CEO’ and as you’d expect is a witty, informative look at what drives us (us really!!!!).
The book is due for completion this month and for sale in September so please read on……..
